Man with gun still on the run in HamiltonSUPPLIED The Armed Offenders Squad searched for the gunman on Maitland St, Hamilton, on Sunday. The Armed Offenders Squad were called to the Hamilton suburb of Frankton on Sunday evening after a member of the public reported seeing a man with a firearm. An on-going search began at Maitland St in Frankton at about 6.30pm, then moved to Irvine St around 9pm. A cordon that had kept some residents out of their homes along Maitland St for up to two hours was lifted at 9.10pm. Frankton residents reported hearing loud bangs as police searched for the armed man.
