A special team of police from Magadi, which was tracking the accused Renukaradhya, found that he was on the run in a car that he had borrowed from his friend. However, before they could apprehend him, the accused allegedly committed suicide at a lodge where he had checked in. The victim Sunanda, a teacher at the Government Primary School in Magadi, who sustained 50% burn injuries, is said to be recovering. They are in touch with their counterparts at Dharmasthala for the post mortem report to ascertain the cause of Renukaradhya’s death.
