Photo: Supplied via NZ HeraldA man who drowned at Hot Water Beach yesterday was a member of a Tauranga Christian organisation and died reportedly trying to save a child who was in difficulty in the water. Couples for Christ New Zealand posted to its Facebook followers that Angelo Tuyay had died trying to save a child drowning in the Coromandel area. Hot Water Beach Lifeguard Service chairman Gary Hinds said the service was packing up supplies after a day of training on the other side of the beach when the incident unfolded. They were not notified of the emergency callout until six or seven minutes after Fire and Emergency New Zealand.
