A man who hijacked a crane in downtown Calgary is in police custody after emergency crews climbed up after him. Police say they don’t immediately know why the man tried to commandeer the crane shortly after 7 a.m., and the construction company using it doesn’t know who he is. The middle crane has an unauthorized person that's climbed on to it. The Calgary Fire Department’s high-angle team helped extract the interloper. #yyc #yyctraffic — Calgary Police (@CalgaryPolice) September 19, 2016“An unknown, unauthorized male had climbed up 340-feet, which is approximately 26 stories into the cab of a crane,” Act.
