A 25-year-old man will appear in the Timaru District Court today in connection with two firearm-related incidents in the Timaru region on Sunday. It was still unknown last night where a 26-year-old Oamaru man was shot before he was dumped at Timaru Hospital on Sunday. On Monday, police advised Timaru Hospital staff to put the hospital into lock-down at 3.30pm. Police declined to say whether they had interviewed the Oamaru man or if they knew where he had been shot. The hospital board spokeswoman said she could not say if the man had been discharged because he requested privacy.
