A resident of Dadar has registered a complaint with the Khar police for a diamond ring that was allegedly stolen by a man she met over a matrimonial site. The woman met the accused, who identified himself as Aryan Patel, at a cafe in Khar. The 28-year-old approached the police on Wednesday and informed them that she had been in touch with Patel through social media. "Later, on the pretext of talking over the cellphone, Patel stood up and left the cafe," he said. She then realised that her ring has been stolen and that Patel is a conman," said the officer.
