(File Photo)After bingeing on drugs and alcohol, a man stabbed himself in the leg during a knife attack on his childhood friend. ​Gittings then picked up a knife and stabbed the victim in the left side of his chest. Judge Sygrove said the defendant tried to stab the man again but due to his "drunk and drug-fuelled" state, Gittings injured himself instead. Not realising he was injured, Gittings then stabbed the victim again in his upper left thigh.
