Police are searching for a person who shot a man in the shoulder with an air rifle in the east Auckland suburb of Maraetai on Sunday night. A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the shoulder with an air rifle in east Auckland. Police were called to a house in Maraetai about 7.15pm after reports a person had been shot, a spokeswoman said. The man sustained a moderate injury and was taken to Middlemore Hospital. Police are searching for the offender, who was known to the victim.
