A homicide investigation is under way after a man died in Wellsford on Saturday (file photo). Police have launched a homicide investigation after a man died in Wellsford, north of Auckland. Police were called to the scene of a shooting about 7.45pm on Saturday night, Detective Inspector Scott Beard said. Police found a man dead inside a vehicle on Wayby Station Rd, having suffered a gunshot wound. The scene will be guarded overnight.
