PHOTO: GIORDANO STOLLEYEmergency crews carry a man injured in a tractor accident to a waiting helicopter near Mabel Bush before he was flown to Dunedin. Details are not fully known, but two fire engines were sent to the scene, a field of parsnips, on Mabel-Grove Bush Rd, about noon. It is about 30km from Invercargill. St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said a rescue helicopter had been sent from Dunedin and that the man, in his early 20s, was in a serious condition. Fire and Emergency NZ shift supervisor Andrew Norris said the man had been "released from the tractor'' by fire crews.
