KOTA KINABALU: A man was seriously injured after plunging down from a cellular telecommunications tower in the east coast town of Tawau on Sunday. The 27-year-old man fell onto a roof of a garage, with firemen then rushed in to carry him down from there following the 5.25pm incident. Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department operations centre chief Khatizah Rahaban said the incident occurred near a noodle factory at Tanjung Batu, about 2kms from downtown Tawau. The man was rushed to the Tawau district hospital.
