Abu Shamim Azad, judge of the Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal, delivered the judgment in the presence of the lone accused Abul Kalam Azad Kalu, 35, on Thursday afternoon. The court examined ten witnesses and other documents before pronouncing the verdict. Acknowledging the facts, Advocate Faizul Huq, a special public prosecutor of the court, said: “The deceased, Shima Aktar, 8, was a third-grader at a local primary school. However, locals informed the police after sensing a bad smell from the site on March 13, 2018, added the prosecutor.
