Emergency services were called to the Shard after a man scaled a crane next to the iconic building. A Twitter account using the name Mr_CxO uploaded the clip, writing: 'Guy’s just climbed up a crane next to the shard.' The Metropolitan Police told MailOnline: 'Police were called at 12:57hrs on Wednesday, 2 October to St Thomas Street, SE1. The Met and London Fire Brigade are currently at the scene'Officers and London Fire Brigade are currently at the scene. At 2.52pm Met Police Southwark said: 'Please note, St Thomas Street #SE1 and surrounding streets are currently closed off to pedestrians and traffic.
