Sayem Sobhan Anvir CollectedThe plot had reportedly been running for three monthsA Dhaka court on Sunday placed a man on a three-day remand over an attempt to assassinate Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir. It was alleged that the whip’s son planned to assassinate Sayem over previous hostilities. During preliminary interrogation, Saad confessed that he was preparing to attack Sayem during Jumma prayers on Friday. Saad also claimed they had previously planned to kill Sayem by feeding him milk laced with poison or by stabbing him, but they failed to execute the plans. During the investigation, it was found that the conspiracy to kill the Bashundhara Group MD had been going on for almost three months.
