A case was registered against a man on Wednesday for raping and impregnating his 15-year-old niece, who is now four months pregnant. “The girl’s family is planning to abort the child but we have asked them to resolve the issue legally,” said a police constable requesting anonymity. He has been in Uttar Pradesh since the past few weeks and we have sent a team to trace him. He had been raping and abusing the girl at an isolated place in Mumbra since the past seven months. The rape came to light when the girl’s parent noticed that her stomach had grown larger.
