Pavel Ocneanu, 30, took advantage of his victim in his car after he spotted her getting out of a taxi in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The attack came to an end when a man who lives nearby heard the sound of "heels running" and a terrified woman screaming "help me, help me" after she fought back, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard. After leaving the party he saw the woman and two others getting out of a taxi in the early morning hours. After the attack, the woman could only recall limited details, including the sound of smashing glass in Ocneanu's car and him being on top of her, the court heard. The woman banged on the door of the witness who heard her screaming for help, and he rang the police.
