A man poured water on two other men at a bar in Montgomery County early Saturday, prompting a fight, in what is being investigated as a hate-based incident, police said. Authorities said witnesses told them that the man who poured the water referred to the other two “in a derogatory manner in regard to sexual orientation.”The incident occurred about closing time at the Greene Turtle bar and restaurant in the Olney area, police said. As they did, police said, a man from that group took a glass of water, approached the other group and poured the water on the two men. Rescue personnel took two men to the hospital with injuries that did not appear life threatening, the police said. Police said they thought they knew who had poured the water, but were trying to identify everyone involved.
