KUANTAN: Police are hunting down a man who posed as a policeman and kidnapped a 16-year-old girl in Raub. Raub district police chief Supt Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the dark-skinned, thin suspect, who is in his 30s, was believed to have tricked the victim's mother by saying he needed the girl's help. “The suspect then asked the woman's permission to take the girl to help him get a motorcycle he had just bought. Wan Mohd Zahari added that at 3pm, the woman received another telephone call from her daughter who said she was in Gua Musang, Kelantan, safe and would be home soon. According to Wan Mohd Zahari, social media messages that said the suspect was wearing a police uniform were untrue as he only introduced himself to the victim's mother as a policeman.
