A man has been arrested in a suspected money laundering syndicate in Athi River, Machakos. Athi River South subcounty police commander Jos Mudavadi said the suspect was arrested at Karibu Homes estate in Athi River on Thursday. The matter was reported to the Athi River police station as the seizure of counterfeit notes incident report. “The suspect believed to be the owner of the house, was arrested in connection to the seized items. Mudavadi said they had launched investigations into the incident and the suspect will be arraigned once the probe is complete.
