A man is missing in the Tararua Ranges after attempting the Northern Crossing over the weekend. Searchers are looking for a tramper in the Tararua Ranges northeast of Wellington after he failed to finish his tramp on Saturday. Police were searching on Sunday for a missing UK man overdue from completing the Northern Crossing from Otaki. The man, who was staying in Wellington, was due to finish the tramp at noon on Saturday but didn't arrive at the Mt Holdsworth road end near Masterton. Police Search and Rescue teams completed a search of huts in the area as well as an initial aerial search.
