Man knocked unconscious in Wanaka assault


Police are seeking witnesses to an assault in which a man was knocked unconscious in Wanaka early today. In a statement, police said a 27-year-old man was found behind the BP station on Ardmore St about 1.30am. He was unconscious, and was taken to Dunedin Hospital in a serious but stable condition. It is believed he had been kicked in the head; however, police have yet to speak to him.
