City Round gathered that the deceased was declared missing on January 25, a day after she left her house in the Ijebu-Igbo area of the state. It was learnt that the 30-year-old woman left home for Adebayo’s house with a sum of N530,000 and promised her mother to come back on the same day. He said the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for thorough investigation. The lover claimed to have got a plot of land for her (Adesanya) to buy for her mother, consequent upon which the deceased left home with the sum of N530,000. He said the lover confessed to the crime after the decomposing body of the victim was found in the grave.
