ALOR SETAR: A security guard was killed while his son sustained serious injuries after they were struck by lightning at a village near here. His seven-year-old son Mohd Haziq Norhafizan, who was riding pillion with him on a motorcycle, sustained burn injuries. He was rushed to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital for treatment. The man's sister-in-law, Umi Kalsom Sulaiman, 35, when met at the scene, said the father and son were on their way home after Friday prayers when the incident occurred. Police personnel from the Kota Setar district police headquarters were at the scene to carry out investigations.
