BigstockRupon Tanchangya, 45, died enroute to hospitalA man was killed, attacked by a wild elephant in Kaptai upazila of Rangamati on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Rupon Tanchangya, 45, son of Budy Moni Tanchangya of Raikhali union under Kaptai upazila. Rupon who lived in Karigar Para, was injured by the elephant around 7pm on his way back home from a local market, said Chandraghona police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ikbal Bahar Chowdhury on Thursday. Rupon died on his way there around 9pm that day, according to OC Ikbal. His body is being sent to Rangamati General Hospital for an autopsy on Friday, Ikbal added.
