Joshua Ryder died and three others were injured, two critically, after a car and van collided head-on on Main South Rd in Bankside, Selwyn on Wednesday. A man killed in a head-on collision between a van and a car will be missed “beyond words”, his family said. Timaru man Joshua John Ryder, 33, was killed following the crash on Main South Rd in Bankside, Selwyn about 10.10pm on Wednesday. A death notice published in The Press said Ryder was an “adored father” of two who would “miss him beyond words”. Waka Kotahi has received two complaints over the past five years regarding the stretch of road in Bankside, the spokeswoman said.
