The incident took place around 1am Sunday at Madan Bazaar in the northern district, said Inspector Md Showkat Ali of Madan Police Station. “Two local youths, Imran and Masum, engaged in a quarrel while watching a film at the teashop. At one point, their associates swooped on each other with sharp weapons,” Inspector Showkat said quoting locals. The man who died in the clashes has been identified as 33-year-old Kamrul Islam. He had a deep cut on his chest, Inspector Showkat said.
