On Wednesday morning, police recovered Jamal's body from his house, confirmed Fatullah Model police station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain to the Dhaka Tribune. Quoting the confessions of the accused persons, OC Aslam said Jamal had an affair with another woman, whom he went to meet on Tuesday morning. Jamal assaulted his daughter Samiya on several occasions, and his family members suspected him of being in relationships with multiple women. When the accused called the neighbours to bury Jamal, the neighbours informed police about the matter that day.
