(File photograph)A man was flown by rescue helicopter to Nelson Hospital in a serious condition on Sunday morning after a ute rolled on State Highway 1 at Koromiko in Marlborough. Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter pilot Brendan Hyatt said due to fog, the chopper could not land at Koromiko in response to the 6.30am call-out. Instead, the patient was taken by ambulance to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim where the helicopter crew collected the man and flew him to Nelson Hospital. St John spokeswoman Siobhan Campbell said one patient was transported from the scene in a serious condition.
