A man in his 20s is in life-threatening condition after he fell 30-feet down an escalator at Mattamy Athletic Centre, the former Maple Leaf Gardens building on Saturday evening. Police rushed to the historic building near Carlton and Church Sts. at around 7:53 p.m. after receiving a call about the incident. According to investigators, the caller indicated the man may have been on the rails of an escalator before he fell approximately 30 feet.
