A 31-year-old man has been hospitalized after an early-morning shooting just south of Yonge and Bloor on Monday. Emergency services were called at around 4:30 a.m. to 7 West Cafe, a 24-hour restaurant on Charles St., according to Toronto Paramedic Services. The victim was found nearby, but it isn’t clear whether he was inside or outside the restaurant when the shooting took place. He was taken to hospital in serious condition, paramedics said, but is expected to survive. Charles St. remains blocked off for a police investigation.
