The Azad Maidan Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old woman lawyer in broad daylight on Wednesday in South Mumbai while she was coming back from a lecture at Mumbai University. According to the police, on Wednesday morning, the victim had left her Navi Mumbai residence to go for lectures in Mumbai University. A few people rushed for woman’s help and a police patrolling officer who was passing by from the area was called in. Following this, the accused was taken into police custody,” said a police officer from Azad Maidan police station. A case under section 354 (Molestation) of Indian Penal Code has been filed at Azad Maidan police station.
