Police are investigating an apparent hit and run which left a man with glass in his head and back injuries in Balclutha last night. A police spokeswoman said they were advised by Dunedin Hospital about the hit and run, which occurred about 8pm last night. He was left with glass in the back of his head and injuries to his back. It was not known how the man got to Dunedin Hospital. A St John spokesman said they had no record of transporting a patient from Balclutha around 8pm last night.
