(FIle Photo)Confronted with a bloodied stabbing victim on his doorstep, a New Plymouth man wasted no time in putting his first aid skills to use. All the while he kept talking to the injured man in an effort to keep him conscious. Tippett said the injured man did not say much, apart from asking for an ambulance and mentioning what had happened. While Tippett did not know the stabbing victim, he said his boarder did and that might explain why the man turned up at the house looking for help. After an ambulance crew arrived, the injured man was taken to hospital.
