A man was found dead in a lodging in Salgaa area, Nakuru county, after drinking second generation liquor. Kibet's mother, who owns Moonlight lodges and bar in Salgaa centre, lost consciousness after learning of his death. This comes hours after a 30-year-old man was found dead in his house after participating in a drinking competition in Kinangop, Nyandarua county. "The man only known as Kibet is said to have taken excess alcohol on Tuesday night and spent Wednesday asleep," police said. Stephen Wachira is suspected to have consumed an illicit brew on Tuesday night together with a group of youths.
