The pickup driver, Atthapol Homkaew, 25, told police that he found out about the death of Pichit Wisetwoharn, 41, only when they reached Pichit’s condominium in Chon Buri at 7am on Wednesday. Atthapol said he parked and found that Pichit had apparently died in his sleep. Atthapol said they left Ubon Ratchathani's Pibul Mangsahan district on Tuesday evening and during the trip Pichit said he wanted to sleep in the pickup bed. Police said the man apparently died of hypothermia due to cold winds during the ride.
