The Field Medicine and Support Centre confirmed that a man was killed after a shrapnel hit his home in Salah al-Din neighbourhood, south of Tripoli, on Monday. The victim suffered severe head injuries as a result of shrapnel. The medical team at Salah al-Din field hospital provided him with medical assistance, but the man died later of his wounds, and was transferred to the University Hospital of Tripoli, the centre explained on Facebook. Many civilians have been killed in the outskirts of Tripoli as a result of indiscriminate shells fired by Haftar's forces, according to the centre.
