A man has died after being struck by several cars on the M66 motorway near Bury. The force said it appeared the man had been walking along the lanes of the motorway and was struck by an Audi A5 heading north. A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and is in police custody. However, we still need witnesses who may have seen this man walking up the motorway to contact us as a matter of urgency. Officers searched the area and arrested the man in Grand Parade at about 12.05am on Saturday morning.
