A man has died after being shot in the south Auckland suburb of Ōtara. Acting Detective Inspector Shaun Vickers said police were notified a person had reportedly been shot on Piako St at 2.53pm on Friday. "Upon arrival, a male was located with a gunshot wound and has died at the scene," Vickers said.
