Man detained near Plymouth police station after incidentA police officer was assaultedView Image (Image: submitted)Police were called to a property just a short distance from Charles Cross police station earlier today following a concern for welfare incident. ‌Witnesses told Plymouth Live they saw paramedics and police officers in Constantine Street entering a property. ‌A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: " Officers attended a property in Constantine Street, Plymouth, this afternoon, Tuesday 3 March, following a concern for welfare for a man within. ‌"While at the property an officer was assaulted. "The man at the property has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act."
