A man accused of pinning a woman to the ground and repeatedly punching her head has denied assault. Christopher Glover, 38, of Bury, Greater Manchester, pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court today (Monday). Glover, 38, is accused of assaulting the complainer at a property in Staney Hill Road, Lerwick, on Thursday. Glover is also accused of striking the complainer on the head with a lamp. Sheriff Willie Shannon adjourned the hearing, with a trial date set for 21st December.
