A man believed to be working on flood repairs died in Ellicott City on Friday after a fall, Howard County police said. [Horrific flooding in ‘ruined’ Ellicott City, Md.] At about 3:35 p.m., officers responded to the 8200 block of Main Street after a report that a man had fallen from scaffolding, the Howard County Police Department said in a statement. The man was identified by county police Friday night as John Peter Pacylowski Jr., 67, of Columbia. Severe flooding in July killed two people in Ellicott City and caused severe damage.
