A 40 year-old man committed suicide in Ol Kalou town to avoid a mob that was baying for his blood. Residents claimed that Mr Godfrey Kuria committed suicide on Tuesday to avoid the wrath of villagers who accused him of defiling a minor at Quarry area within the township. “She was unable to talk but her elder brother narrated how the suspect had invited his sister to her house,” said the father. His son informed that the suspect gave the minor some sweets, locked the house and proceeded to defile her. The suspect locked himself in his house when confronted by the father, where he was later found hanging from the roof.
