Ryan Phillips. A man has come forward in the investigation of a serious hit-and-run in Invercargill on Sunday morning. Nineteen-year-old bricklayer Ryan Phillips was walking home from a work party about 6.15am in Marama Ave South when he was struck by a vehicle that did not stop and was critically injured. Detective Sergeant Scott Mackenzie said a man had presented himself to police and was helping with their enquiries. Despite still being in an induced coma, Ryan’s level of sedation had been reduced, Mr Phillips said.
