Man charged with stealing from ‘Good Samaritan’A man has been charged with stealing a mobile phone and money from a woman who had bought him lunch. Martin Omondi was accused of stealing Sh7,000 from Sarah Were on December 14. He is also accused of stealing a Samsung phone, kikoi and a purse, all worth Sh16,000. He is alleged to have told the complainant he was hungry and stranded in town before requesting that Were buys him food. Perturbed for losing her phone, money and kikoi, Were reported the matter at Kakamega Central Police Station.
