The accused has been identified as Humayan Rashid Iqbal, 46, son of Abdus Salam from Jagannathpur upazila in Sunamganj. She filed a case in this regard under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act on Sunday. Quoting the case details, Kashimpur police station Officer-in-Charge Mahboub-E-Alam Khuda said Iqbal got married to the victim’s mother about 12 years ago. On July 30, Iqbal raped his step-daughter when she arrived at her mother’s house in Latifpur Sardaganj area in Gazipur city from her husband's house.
