The family of a child who died at Watford Medical Centre in Ōtara lived in Shifnal Drive in Randwick Park. A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder after a baby died in south Auckland last month. The charge relates to an incident where a baby died after being taken to Watford Medical Centre in Ōtara with critical injuries on May 23. Police initially launched a homicide inquiry, and a man was arrested on one charge of assaulting a child. The baby lived in a Kāinga Ora house, just a 10-minute drive from Watford Medical Centre.
