A Mississauga man has been charged with first-degree murder after Malique Ellis, 21, was shot dead in the hallway of a Scarborough building in December. At around 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 3, Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting on the third floor of an apartment building located on 3121 Eglinton Ave. E., near the Eglinton Ave. E. and Mason Rd. Ellis was located suffering from multiple gun shot wounds and was pronounced dead on scene. On Thursday, the Homicide Unit said they arrested and charged Henok Mebratu, 24, with first-degree murder.
