A 33-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other offences after another man was attacked in central Winnipeg on Tuesday afternoon. He has been charged with attempted murder, robbery, failing to comply with a probation order and possessing methamphetamine. Paramedics were called to a back lane behind the 600 block of Main Street around 3:30 p.m.A 57-year-old man was taken to hospital in unstable condition, and his condition later changed to stable but critical. Police are asking anyone with information related to this incident to call investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). Officers found the suspect near Main and Higgins Avenue a short time later.
