Toronto police have charged an 18-year-old man with assault after a TTC driver was spat on over the weekend. Police responded at around 9:45 a.m. Sunday to the Pharmacy Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area, Const. Police allege that the driver was spat on by a man who then ran away. In a video shot from the bus, a TTC driver is seen swinging punches and yelling at a man in the parking lot at the same intersection. “Every day, TTC workers face assaults and abuse, which is completely unacceptable,” Santos said.
