A man has been charged with arson in relation to a fatal fire in Auckland on Tuesday night. The body of Linda Winifred Edwards, 58, was found in the block of flats in Mt Roskill's Rainford St about midnight. Police said a 25-year-old man who was known to Edwards has been charged with arson and also faces a charge of using a document. Edwards was a well-known figure in the Mt Roskill community and had previously organised a drive to donate bras to women behind bars.
